Holly has always loved to move and dance.
From a young age dance was her outlet and means of expression.
This passion led her to a career as a professional dancer, spanning 14 years.
She attained the highest certificate through the Royal Academy of Dance 'Solo Seal.'
Holly performed with Rudolf Nureyev in 1990 during his Australian tour,
an inspiring experience.
At the age of 19 Holly joined the Queensland Ballet Company and performed in numerous works including Carmina Burana, the Tempest and The Four Seasons.
She attended the Victorian College of the Arts Bachelor course to attain more knowledge of Contemporary dance and choreography. In 1998 Holly was invited to join the Australian Ballet Company and enjoyed performing in Swan Lake, La Bayadere and contemporary pieces. From there she moved to the West Australian Ballet Company where she featured as a soloist and choreographer for eight years. Being a part of the 'United' program celebrating 50 years of the West Australian Ballet and 40 years of the Australian Ballet was a wonderful experience.
The highlight of Holly's career was dancing her own choreography while pregnant with her first child, under the stars at the Quarry Amphitheatre.
Holly has certificates in Pilates, Yoga & Restorative Yoga and uses her knowledge from her lifetime working with the human form to create classes that help people connect with their bodies and find the joy in movement.
The Holly Carter School of Movement helps people of all ages find joy through movement.
A variety of classes on offer enables the student to try different styles of exercise and find what works for them.

Holly Carter School of Movement opened its doors in 2010 in Denmark WA offering classes to adults and children of all ages.
Holly helped all her students connect to their bodies and their innate health.
Now her journey begins in Port Stephens NSW.
